On the hunt for some new heated hair tools to jazz up your locks? If so, Evalectric is a brand that you need to know about. With its own exemplary range of flat irons, curling wands, hot brushes, and more, Evalectric covers all bases when it comes to heat styling.

While several of these hair tools quickly caught our attention, we turned our focus to the brand’s line of curling wands. Curls are going to be big this year, and Evalectric’s curlers seem to be just the ticket to achieving flawless, bouncy waves. How do they actually perform and are they better than all of the other curling hair tools out there? We tried a few of these curling wands out for ourselves – here’s what we thought…

The Venti Curler 25/32mm Black

EVA Venti Curler

Let’s start with the Evalectric Venti Curler, which features the largest barrel size of all Evalectric curling wands. With this said, it also happens to be a very versatile size. It can be used on all hair lengths to create glamorous and voluminous curls.

We tested this curling wand out on both long and short hair. It was easier to use on longer lengths but it still managed to style short hair to perfection. Its tapered barrel helps with this in a big way, making it much more convenient to wrap and set hair. This taper also provides a more natural-looking finish, as opposed to curling wands with straight barrels.

Interestingly, this was also the first time that we’ve used any hair tools with a Teflon barrel. Teflon is becoming increasingly popular due to its smooth, frictionless surface. This gives you a much smoother finish and also ensures that any hair products that you’ve applied, such as a heat protectant, don’t stick to the barrel of your curler.

All in all, a big thumbs up from us!

The 25-18 Curling Black

1825 Grande Styling Wand

Now onto the hair tools with a slightly smaller barrel size, beginning with the Evalectric 25-18 Curling Black. Again, this curling wand comes with a tapered barrel, measuring 25-18mm. It’s Teflon too, and definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the sleekness of the curls that it creates.

Again, we tried this curling wand on both short and long hair. Compared to larger barrel curlers, it’s much easier to use on shorter locks. However, it’s not too small to work well on long hair either. It still gets the job done quickly, even when creating tighter curls as opposed to waves.

We also noticed a big lack of frizz when using this curling wand. This is likely due to the infrared heat that it emits. This is known for being far gentler, meaning that it won’t fry and frizz your strands. The negative ion technology helps with this too by countering the positive ions that cause static in hair.

Yet again, this curling wand gets five stars from us!

The Grande Styling Wand Crazy Pink

Grande Styling Wand

In some ways, the Evalectric Grande Styling Wand Crazy Pink is similar to the one that we featured above. It also boasts a 25-18mm barrel, enabling you to use it to create everything from beachy waves to perfectly-defined curls.

However, there are also a couple of key differences worth taking note of. The first is how it makes use of tourmaline technology. This essentially means that the barrel has been coated with the tourmaline gemstone, which is known for effectively reducing the appearance of frizz. Tourmaline also seals hair cuticles in a way that locks in moisture. This gives curls more bounce and shine. Those with thicker hair often find that tourmaline does a better job than other barrel materials, which we have to agree with after testing this wand out on thick and coarse locks.

Of course, let’s not ignore the striking pink color of this curling wand either! Many heated hair tools don’t place much focus on aesthetics. After all, how the tool functions is more important than what it looks like. However, Evalectric takes both into consideration with this model. Not only does it work well and to a professional standard but it also looks bold and brilliant!

Once more, this is another curling wand that we will be highly recommending to just about everyone!

Curling Wands vs Curling Irons

While some brands sell both curling irons and curling wands, Evalectric focuses on wands. Many might say that this is a risky move as it excludes anyone who is in the market for a curling iron. However, Evalectric’s hair tools are adored by professionals, most of whom favor wands over irons.

Why? Because curling wands don’t make use of clamps. Instead, efficiently wrapping your hair around that barrel all comes down to technique. While irons are great for newbies who have never curled their locks before, it likely won’t be long before they move on to curling wands too. They give you a much smoother and more natural finish, without the unsightly angles and sharp bends that many curling irons produce.

Evalectric Hair Tools: To Buy or Not to Buy?

When it comes to Evalectric’s range of curling wands, we have nothing but good things to say about these hair tools. They’re impeccably designed, featuring thoughtful touches along with the latest tech. There’s enough variety to enable you to pick the perfect tool for your locks, yet not so much that you’ll end up feeling overwhelmed. In terms of pricing, these hair tools are also very cost-effective for what they offer. They all come with a warranty but you’re unlikely to need this – as soon as you hold one in your hand, you’ll be able to feel how durable and high-quality it is.

With all of this in mind, we would definitely recommend checking out Evalectric’s product range the next time you’re in the market for some new heated hair tools!
