Thinking of revamping your skincare routine? It’s always a good idea to start by ensuring you have the basics covered, which is where the CBGardn Essentials Collection comes in. This collection contains a range of must-haves that promise to quickly elevate even the simplest of skincare routines.
I first came across CBGardn when looking for a new cleanser, which is how the Essentials Collection drew me in. Of course, being me, I couldn’t simply stop at just one product – I ended up splurging on a few different formulas from this collection…and I’m so glad that I did!
Here’s a closer look at each of the products that I tried:
The CB Silk Facial Foaming Purifier
There are two cleansers in the CBGardn Essentials Collection; the CB Facial Cleanser and the CB Silk Facial Foaming Purifier. Since I have combination skin that often veers toward being overly greasy, I decided to go for the foaming cleanser.
Foaming cleansers often contain pretty harsh ingredients. This is actually why I was on the hunt for a new cleanser in the first place – my skin wasn’t responding well to the foaming cleanser that I was previously using, and the ingredient list, which featured the likes of sulfates, harsh alcohols, and parabens, explained why.
The CB Silk Facial Foaming Purifier is very different. It provides a rich lather but without the use of any aggressive ingredients. Instead, it’s packed with peptides and plant extracts, ensuring that your complexion receives plenty of nutrients, along with support, with each cleanse.
Needless to say, my skin far prefers this cleanser to the one that I was previously using, making CBGardn’s offering a mainstay in my skincare routine.
The CB Facial Toner
I’ve always been a fan of toners but recently learned that the astringent formulas I previously opted for weren’t doing my skin any favors. Hydrating toners are the way to go, which was why I decided to treat myself to the CBGardn CB Facial Toner.
The first few ingredients on this toner’s ingredient list are known for their intense hydrating properties. This is evident as soon as you apply the toner too. My skin always instantly takes on a fuller and plumper appearance. It looks dewy and healthy each time I use this toner, which I never experienced with the toners of my past.
It’s also worth mentioning that this toner contains niacinamide too. Also known as vitamin B3, this is a great multi-tasking ingredient. It’s able to do everything from reducing the look of large pores to lightening the visibility of dark spots to smoothing away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It soothes the feeling of inflammation too, making it a good one to use after cleansing or exfoliating.
The CB Eye Serum Concentrate
I was initially torn as to whether to go for the CB Eye Serum Concentrate or the CB ProLift Eye Firming Cream. I ended up choosing the eye serum, mainly because this formula seemed like it would be more effective at diminishing the look of dark circles and puffiness.
Now that I’ve been using this eye serum for about five weeks, it’s safe to say that I made the right decision! I used to spend a good chunk of time each morning using makeup to mask the look of my shadows and puffy eye bags. Now, however, so long as I’m consistent with using this serum twice a day, I no longer have that problem.
Again, just like all CBGardn products, this serum contains a number of highly recommended ingredients. Vitamin C, multiple peptides, sodium hyaluronate, green tea extract, and licorice root extract are just a few of the famous names on the list. It’s also infused with nettle leaf extract, an antioxidant-rich botanical that can be found in all CBGardn products.
The CB Multi-Active Moisturizer With SPF 30
Although I already have a night cream that I love, I was in the market for a new day cream. I was previously using a lightweight moisturizer with sunscreen layered over the top…until I found the CB Multi-Active Moisturizer With SPF 30.
In all honesty, I’m not sure why I’ve never tried an SPF moisturizer before. Sure, I’ve heard that they’re not as effective as a dedicated sunscreen, but this is only because people tend to not apply enough of the product. With my fair skin, I can easily tell when the sun has dealt some damage, and I haven’t experienced any redness or sensitivities after being out in the sun when my skin is covered with this moisturizer.
What I love even more about this formula is that, like all CBGardn products seem to be, it’s full of antioxidants. With green tea extract, nettle leaf extract, vitamin E, and aloe vera leaf extract, it will go a long way in leaving the skin feeling additionally protected against environmental damage.
The CBGardn Essentials Collection: Everything That Your Skin Needs
One of the best things about the CBGardn Essentials Collection is that it caters to all skin types. It contains quite a vast variety of different products, meaning that just about everyone would be able to put together a full and highly targeted skincare routine from this range. With my skin responding so well to these products, they’ll now be permanent additions to my skincare routine, which I’ll soon be enhancing even further by adding in a few more CBGardn products that I’ve had my eye on!
